Raccoon Mountain Caverns & Campground is home to Tennessee’s highest rated cave and premier RV park & campground and is located just outside of Chattanooga, Tennessee. This spectacular campground has on-site amenities along with a pool, fitness center and spectacular views of the both Lookout Mountain and Raccoon Mountain. If you like caves then you will love walking just a few hundred feet to the entrance of Raccoon Mountain caverns from your campsite.
They are very dog-friendly and have a wonderful large off-leash dog park. The laundry facilities are extremely clean and the gym equipment is all fairly new. They even have a small fitness center but I can’t report much on it because we opted to go to the Golds Gym on 4th. Street to work out. You will love the mountain views from your campsite and you have lots of room to move and walk around.
Conveniently located about 5 miles off of I24 and just 1/2 mile off state route 41. You can drive to almost everything in downtown Chattanooga in less than 20 minutes. While you are there be sure you check out the 1885 Grill located on St. Elmo Avenue in Chattanooga. We had a fantastic meal there and you can read the review of them here. Also, visit Ruby Falls while as it is only a few minutes from the park. This is another cavern not associated with the campground but it offers the deepest underground waterfall open to the public in North America.
