Do you want to stay as close to the Colorado National Monument as possible without actually being in the park? then the spectacular Monument RV Resort is the place to stay. With 95-foot pull through with full hookup sites, they accommodate any size RV. Easy access from I70 and State Route 50 make it an ideal location to visit the National Monument and Grand Junction, CO.
The Resort Location:
Downtown Grand Junction, CO. is only twelve miles from the RV Park. The downtown area has many great things to do and see. One point of interest we found by accident was the world famous Enstrom Toffee & Confectionery. Enstrom Candies has a great little store you can visit and watch them make the Toffee while you enjoy some of their delicious candies or ice cream. We also enjoyed a fantastic meal at Las Marias just one block away from Enstrom Candies. Next door to the RV Resort is Dairy Queen and you can walk across the Dairy Queen parking lot to the best Mexican Restaurant we found in the area, El Tapatio. Read our full review on El Tapatio here.
About Monument RV Resort:
This RV resort has everything you want in an RV resort. A fully stocked store with reasonable prices on their goods, great location, friendly staff, and reasonable rates. Across the street from the Monument RV Resort is a state park with plenty of trails to walk, with areas to include your dog on the walk. The Colorado National Monument is just ten minutes away and the easy access to and from the interstate is cherished if you have a large RV. The resort pool is not huge but it’s well maintained and offers relief from the heat. Next to the pool is a hot tub for the adults to enjoy. The resort has gravel lots with paved roadways throughout. We found the gravel to be fresh and well maintained during our stay. Got laundry? They offer several washers and dryers along with a folding table, utility sink, and even a soap vending machine. We rarely see the soap vending machines in RV laundry rooms so that was nice to have available. The RV Park offers propane filling and if you have a class C or Class A it easy to pull alongside the filling station. For those wanting to visit without an RV, they offer cabins as well as tent sites.
